Ecopower, established in Ireland in 1996, is a renewable energy development company with a particular interest in on-shore wind energy developments.
The company is wholly owned and managed in Ireland, from our offices in Kilkenny.

Our teams have delivered the successful completion of six windfarms in Ireland providing a professional service from initial site identification to final commissioning of the operational windfarm.

Our Technical Teams provide an Asset Management service to the operating windfarms, which includes technical management, analysis of windfarm output and ESB Telemess Operator services.

Our teams also provide the full suite of Operation & Maintenance Services to Raheen Barr Windfarm, Co. Mayo which comprises twenty-two Vestas wind turbines, producing renewable electricity since 2004.
Ecopower is active at the Site Investigation stage of the development of Solar Farm Projects, on sites throughout Ireland.

Ecopower is fully engaged with our representative body, the Irish Wind Energy Association, and supports the Skillnet training programme accredited for wind professionals.

Our teams regularly attend Wind Skillnet training in areas such as environmental planning, health & safety, market trading, asset management, technician training and community engagement.

Ecopower’s electricity trading company Ecopower Supply, secured an Electricity Supply Licence in 2011 and as a registered supplier, can participate in the Single Electricity Market, which is the wholesale electricity market for the island of Ireland.
